Martin Manuel Guzman , 39, passed away June 15, 2014. Martin was born in San Pedro, California to the late Martin Guzman and Late Martha Archuleta.
Martin was an amazing husband, father and friend to all he met. Martin married the love of his life Elizabeth Anne Guzman and treasured many memories and time spent with her and his children. Martin was a protector of his family and cherished them to no end. Martin always had a happy disposition, a great sense of humor, and an avid sweet tooth. One of Martin’s favorite places to spend time and build memories was by the water, especially the Los Angeles Harbor Area. He loved to go fishing, listen to music, study history, was an avid sports fan of his favorite teams the Redskins, Lakers, LA Dodgers, and The USC Trojans. Martin liked to spend most of his time surrounded by his family and friends and did his best to always make sure that everyone left his home well fed and in good spirits and never in need. Martin had a special place in his heart for at risk youths and spent time mentoring and speaking to young people in hopes of changing even one heart. Martin’s loving spirit, laughter and kindness to others will live on in our fond memories.
Martin is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Anne Guzman; Sons, Matthew and Tino Guzman; Daughter, Emily Munoz; Sisters, Renee, Sonia, and Charlotte; Brothers, Ruben and Anthony; Nephews Jerry, Leonard, and Nathaniel; Step Father Larry Rusk and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.

My deepest sympathy to Manuel’s family. I was very close to him when he was a baby and as he grew up. I spent a lot of time with him at my Aunt Huera’s home. I pray The Lord comforts you during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Martin Guzman was one of thee greatest, most loving, and caring men I’ve ever met, through hard times he continued to support, love, and care for his family and friends, the advice he would give to his friends and family was advice you’d expect to hear from a world renouned therapist or Oprah, this man was one of thee most loyal people ive ever known when Martin Guzman rode for you he rode till there was no more air in the tires and the transmission was giving out through perfect wheather or a hurricane he was one of thee greatest men ive ever encountered, may he rest in peace forever and always and may his soul remain on this earth forever as the angel he always was!
